Sexual harassment: 12 councillors give Kole chair 24hrs to apologise

This is yet another Developing Story. 

Kole started operations in 2010 and 12 years later, sexual harassment overwhelms service delivery.

Kole, October 14, 2022: Twelve female councillors of Kole have tabled demands to the district chair, Andrew Moses Awany.

Awany is facing multiple accusations from members of the (district) council, including some locals.

Recently, TND News started investigating claims of sexual harassment by the LC5 on the former district executive member and woman Councillor of Okwerodot, Scovia Akullu Adupa, and a widow in Ayer sub-county.

Preliminary findings by the publication show that the woman Councillor, including the RDC, is sexually harassed.

For Adupa, it led to her removal from the District Executive Committee (DEC).

Embarrassed and appalled by his vice, the female leaders have Friday told the media their next move.

Their demands also followed degrading remarks by the chair as inked in a letter dated October 14, 2022, below.

The accused is yet to make a statement regarding this latest version of the matter coming from the district.
