Details about Okello Alyana, fallen Lira district NRM party cadre

The burial of the fallen National Resistance Movement [NRM] party cadre is for Thursday [tomorrow] in Onywako parish, Bar sub-county, Lira district.

Moses Okello Alyana – a renowned NRM party cadre – mobliser and a leader died in a fatal bike accident  last week on Friday  along Alebtong – Lira highway.

Witnesses say he knocked a dog in Akia – opposite DJR Comprehensive school, less than 5 kilometers to Lira town.

He later passed on from Gift Life Clinic in Teso Bar, Lira town where he was rushed for medical attention.

Speaking to this contemporary news website on Wednesday afternoon from St. Peters’ C.O.U Adyel where a prayer for him was being held, Jacob Ocen, the Lira district NRM party spokesperson says the ruling party and Lango entirely has lost a leader.

“Because of his love for the party, commitment and mobilization skills, he was elected the Bar sub-county party spokesperson. He helped to market NRM manifestos and ideologies across the sub-region,” Ocen said.

After the demise of the Bar sub-county NRM chairman in a road accident, Ocen says Alyana was care-taking that office and he was doing wonderful task.

Asked what NRM party will do for the deceased family [wife and children], Mr. Ocen says: “The legacies he left are all vital and we want to stand with his family. More on this will be communicated to the mourners by party’s regional vice chairman – Sam Engola tomorrow.”

Asked further how many children and widow[s] he left behind, Ocen added: “Tentatively, we hear he left four children all from different [four] mothers [widows].”

The NRM party in Lira district has said they are receiving support and condolences from opposition parties like UPC, FDC and independent politicians, will all according to ruling party, are eulogizing Alyana, positively.
