Café Milliana: High-class restaurant opens in Lira town

Professional customer care personnel.

After a long day work at office, majority feel exhausted. In modern era, a cup of coffee helps rejuvenate the brain, thanks to its caffeine content!

Or better still, many people also prefer to just visit a cafe, meet a friend, talk over coffee and seal that deal. This equally works for those thinking of going on a date.

Now, and whereas in the past you have looked for that place in Lira town in vain, the newly opened Café Milliana is a one stop place.

Located on plot 97, on the newly tarmacked dual carriage Oyam road, the Café offers all kind of coffees of your taste and preference, ranging from Italiano, America and Briton

From TND’s Business Desk, Frank Oyugi caught up with Brian Mukwaya, a supervisor at the fresh cafe and here we bring you the interview:

Frank Oyugi:  Of all businesses, why did you opt to establish a modern, state of the art restaurant and the first of its kind in Lira?

Brian Mukwaya: Lira being one of the newest approved city, there are certain things that should be available. We felt that there are things that are still missing and a cafe was one of them. So we established Cafe Milliana because we felt we should do something new, and I think this is a birthday gift to the new city.

Frank Oyugi: This will be the first and the only cafe to operate all day and night, 24 hrs and 7 days a week, why this decision?

Brian Mukwaya: Like I said, a city has some components and this is one of them; see most places in Lira close by 11pm. So we felt like we should have something unique for those who will travel to Lira at night, they should find something to eat and drink or even those leaving Lira for Kampala, Gulu and other towns.

Frank Oyugi: So what services should one expect at Cafe Milliana?

Brian Mukwaya: We serve all coffees, Americana, Italiano, Billinaos, Caphinos Atiquas and cocktail among others. We also have Milliana Pizza, among others.

Frank Oyugi: Tell us about the unique coffee machine that I am told you acquired from Dubai?

Brian Mukwaya: We have two unique machines that make standard coffees and 17 varieties   of coffee depending on one’s choice. And our barrister is a professional, highly skilled to brew all types of coffee.

Frank Oyugi: What makes your services so unique?

Brian Mukwaya: Cafe Milliana have professional customer service providers who are skilled in attending to our guests and we have tasty food.

Frank Oyugi: How long does it take for a customer to get served?

Brian Mukwaya: When a customer makes an order; he /she should be able to get his or her order delivered on table between 5-10 minutes and 20 minutes for external delivery.

Frank Oyugi: What other service[s] do you offer?

Brain Mukwaya: We do host birthday parties at the Café and we can also deliver food and drinks at birthday parties and also outside catering – lunch and dinner

Frank Oyugi: Where do you want to see Café Milliana in the next 2-3 years?

Brian Mukwaya: Well, Some people think of buildings and flats, but for us we want to see many Millianas open in different parts of Uganda but offering the same quality and standard services.

Frank Oyugi: Anything you would want to tell the world?

Brian Mukwaya: Yes, we are opened on Oyam road opposite Highway Clinic (road to Kitgum stage), please our customers, come and experience our great coffee and tasty meals, we are the King of taste.
