The police recruitment drive in the North Kyoga Region began successfully in Oyam district, with 269 of 288 shortlisted candidates undergoing rigorous screening processes under strict security and transparency protocols.
The region’s police PRO, SP Jimmy Patrick Okema reported that expected candidates from the district were to be 288.
He stated that the actual turnout was 269, which represented 93.4%.
Meanwhile, one candidate, Akol Henry Moses, was directed to make a statement at Oyam CPS regarding academic paper forgery.
Out of 269 candidates, 10 had duplicate names, which were resolved using NIN verification.
On Tuesday, April 29, the police recruitment team began the same exercise in Kole district.
The exercise is divided into five stages and is overseen by ACP Eddie Sserunjogi of Police Headquarters in Naguru and SSP Rashid Doka, RPC of North Kyoga.

“Your integrity starts today—whether you wear the uniform or not, uphold the law,” ACP Sserunjogi told candidates in Kole.
