Lira, July 5, 2023: After losing her chance to hold the NRM party flag to vie for the Oyam North MP seat, Queen Dorothy Amolo is aiming higher.
Amolo now says she intends to run for Presidency in the 2026 elections. “First, I will run against Mr Museveni in the NRM primary.”
Among the issues she wants to address are the “decaying healthcare system, education and building an elite Army”.
She revealed this at a press briefing with journalists at Margherita Hotel in Lira City.
Amolo was among the aspirants for the NRM flag that President Museveni called and asked to quit for late Col. Rtd. Okello Engola Macodwogo’s son – Samuel Okello.
The call came after she lost the primary election to Okello with 322 votes against Atinkic’s 532 votes.
