Amolatar | Namasale technical school returned home with two trophies and 45 medals.

The Amolatar-based school was one of 43 technical schools nationwide that competed in last month’s national games tournament held in Nakaseke district.

The principal, Ogwal Moses, confirmed the success to tndNews as the second term began.

He revealed that the school he manages has won 24 gold, 15 silver, and seven bronze medals.

Ogwal attributed the win to their outstanding performance throughout the tournaments.

He also stated that Namasale technical school was ranked first out of 43 schools in the country.

With the second term underway, he said 1,250 students had already returned to class.

Parents, he said, should continue to send their children to school despite the difficulties.

He also thanked parents and teachers for the outstanding UBTEC exam results, which showed that all students passed.

The technical school is in the process of finishing the newly constructed girls’ dormitory and will soon begin a project to manufacture reusable pads.

In terms of WASH, the principal stated that the school will soon have access to clean water via National Water and Sewerage Cooperation.

Among other benefits, he stated that NWSC-connected water will aid in student discipline.

Students will no longer mix with the community for the same water source, which has sometimes resulted in confrontation.

He stated that the board of governors has approved the procurement of a new bus to improve mobility.
