Kwania | Telling an untruth has forced Adoli Denis to go to heaven painfully.

According to Police, Adoli died a day after he was beaten for lying to the owner of the motorcycle he was using.

“The territorial Police in Kwania district are on the hunt for suspects alleged to have been involved in beating Adoli Denis from Olami “B” cell, Ikwera ward, Aduku Town Council in Kwania district,” PRO of North Kyoga, SP Jimmy Okema said.

It’s alleged that on January 29, 2024, one Angullu Richard gave his motorcycle to Adoli Denis to go and carry maize of one identified as Brenda only, Okema’s preliminary report reads.

“However, when Adoli was carrying the last trip of the maize, it’s alleged that he faked that the bike developed a puncher. He informed the owner by texting him a message and indeed Agullu responded.

Unfortunately, when he reached where Adoli claimed the bike got a puncher, he was found with only the helmet and the key.

When asked where the motorcycle was, he said that it had been stolen.

“Shortly, other people gathered and demanded to know the whereabouts of the motorcycle,” Okema told tndNews.

In the process, he was beaten badly, and later taken to the Police. However, from the Police, his condition worsened and was rushed to St Luke Health Centre III for treatment.

On January 30, 2024, at around noon he was pronounced dead.

“Scene was visited and a case of murder has been registered, relevant statements recorded, postmortem conducted and body handed over to the relatives for burial,” according to the regional PRO.

No arrests have been made but efforts to have the culprits apprehended is ongoing, he revealed.
