Kampala I Bobi Wine’s wave must not be ignored – the latest view by Luzindana Adam Buyinza seems to suggest.
Buyinza led a group of the ruling party supporters who branded themselves ‘NRM poor youth’ in 2014 – challenging the leadership of President Museveni.
At that time, Buyinza was a close confidant of former Prime Minister and NRM Secretary General, Amama Mbabazi who went on to contest for Presidency in 2016.
Since 2014, the founder and CEO of Public Opinion have had no sympathy for some NRM supporters – including those who are promoting Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba against his father for Presidency.
Although he’s not a supporter of NUP or its leader Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine, Buyinza is one of the pro-Museveni cliques yet to discredit Wine’s political strengths and nationwide support.

On Thursday, September 7, he wrote: “When I said that Bobi Wine was strong and that we must adopt new strategies to counter him, NRM mobilisers on political forum Whatsapp group insulted me.
“They went further to say that Bobi Wine only has support in Kawempe.
If NRM government can’t adopt better strategies, we must then prepare for the worst. NRM Punks/NRM Mobilisers/Self-seekers continue to write reports that People go to Bobi Wine to see a musician but they don’t support him.
“But what I have witnessed is that it’s actually people who go to Bobi Wine rallies and sing for him, they give him gifts and express their support to him. For as long as NRM Mobilizers are the planners of NRM, be assured that NRM is walking to the political limbo,” he said.
According to Luzindana, there is no way you can build a party when illiterate NRM mobilizers are in charge of writing reports.
“These guys are the problem of NRM. You know they respect no one. They don’t respect NRM leaders, they brutalize ordinary people,” he concluded.
