Jinja I The leadership of Universal Apostles Fellowship Church of Righteousness (UAFCR) has launched a programme dubbed “Patriotic Youth Mega Gospel Crusade” in Kaliro district.
More than 10,000 youths from across the country are expected to participate.
The news was revealed during a thanksgiving service led by Prophet Fred David Isanga, popularly known as Prophet David held at the headquarters of the Church in Jinja – where hundreds of thousands of believers thronged.
The climax of this mega campaign will be on September 2, 2023, at the Kirama-based Church in Kirama village, in Kaliro district. Dignitaries from the government are expected to witness.
Nabbi David as he is also fondly called, told the enthusiastic congregation that the programme is to showcase to Ugandans and the rest of the world that it’s not enough to train youth on patriotism only – but on spirituality as well.
He also used the occasion to caution the young people not to indulge in fornication, theft or corruption and other such vices, saying even the issue of boyfriend-girlfriend is not tolerated in the Church.

The programme is running under the theme derived from the Book of Ecclesiastes 12:1ff {NIV}, in which King Solomon exhorts the youth to bear in mind that he will grow old, die and be judged by God for the decisions made in the days of his youth.
“Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years approach when you will say, ‘I find no pleasure in them’.”
Quoting from the Book of Gen 6:1ff, Prophet David noted that just like there were some people like Noah during Biblical times that remained faithful to the path of righteousness, there are also some Ugandans who are faithful.
“…God repented for creating man (human beings) because the sin of immorality, murder etc., that erupted from the household of Adam and Eva soon spread like bush-fire to the whole universe…” he recounted.
The man of God urged the Minister of State for Bunyoro Affairs, Jennifer Namuyangu to request the Speaker of Parliament Annette Anita Among (AAA) to ask MPs to either attend in person or follow the forthcoming Kaliro function from the TV.
Namuyangu, a loyal member of the Church who was also in attendance answered in the affirmative.
Prophet also took time to commend President Yoweri Museveni for standing firm against blackmail and intimidation from World Bank, and Western countries that use their money to promote ungodly practices like homosexuality.
“…God is on our side, to hell with your dirty money, we don’t want the dirty money, we are a God-fearing country with an abundance of natural resources and good climate…,” he said with apparent reference to the recent World Bank freezing of funds to Uganda over the active Anti-Homosexuality Law.
Also in attendance was High Court Judge Justice Godfrey Namundi and his wife, former Kagoma MP Frederick Mbagadhi Nkayi who now works in the President’s office, Makerere University law don Prof Christopher Mbazira and dozens of other high-ranking civil servants.
I will be there myself and witness everything.
