Napak | The 3 Division Deputy Commander of the Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF), Brigadier General Felix Busizoori on Wednesday inspected the progress of the ongoing construction works for housing units at 403 brigade headquarters based at Matanyi sub-county, Napak district.
Busizoori said he was pleased with the work’s progress and its completion shall meet the intended objectives.
The site engineer, Major Kizito Mulwana who also doubles as the Regiment Commander (RCO) for 3 Construction Regiment noted that the work covered is rated at 90 per cent and near completion.
At the project site, 6 blocks – each with 4 self-contained housing units were constructed and completed by Special Forces Command (SFC) Civil Engineering Regiment.
The ongoing construction of 9 blocks each with 4 self-contained housing units is being undertaken by 3 Construction Regiment and is near completion.
The construction project which commenced in June 2022 is an initiative by UPDF strategic leadership to address the accommodation challenge in the force.

“During the periodic inspection, the 3 Division Deputy Commander was accompanied by the Brigade Commander and key staff officers,” Major Isaac Oware, Public Information Officer, 3 Division said.
