Tributes flow for Judy Adoko

The death of Judy Adoko,72, is such a painful one for Lango and Uganda. A pillar of land rights and reforms, an administrator and rights activist, Judy died on March 5, 2023, at Kampala Hospital.

The programs for her send-off have been released. She will be buried on Saturday, March 11, 2023, in Akokoro.

Until her death, she was working with the Land and Equity Movement in Uganda (LEMU), an organization she founded.

She was also working as the Executive Secretary at Lango Cultural Foundation (LCF).

After the news of her death emerged, tributes keep flowing.

Ongom Kwera, the minister of Elderly, PWDs, and Youth at LCF said: “We want to thank her greatly for all her contributions, inputs, and dedication exhibited to Lango people and the nation as a whole….. May her departed soul gently rest in eternal peace.”
