
Yeo Mi-Hyun (m), the regional director of IWPG won the Unification Minister’s Citation
The award was given on November 19, in the “2022 Korean Peace Forum for Unification” at the grand seminar room of the Cheonan Football Center, Korea.
Seoul, December 8, 2022: Yeo Mi-hyun, the regional director of the International Women’s Peace Group (IWPG), won the Unification Minister’s Citation at the ceremony to pass the 2022 Korean Peace Forum for Unification at the grand seminar room of the Cheonan Football Center on November 19, 2022.
The event was co-hosted by the Central Council for National Unification Buddhism and the loyalist Kim Si-min Memorial Project and sponsored by the Ministry of Unification.
Professor Kang Hyang-ran’s hosting led to the ceremony of awarding the chief of the Chungnyeolsa Temple construction promotion committee and the ceremony of transferring the Minister of Unification Award.
About 200 people attended the meeting, including Vice Unification Minister Shin Bum-chul, UPF Joint Chairman Yoo Kyung-deuk, and Buddhist monk Chung Dong-bong.
Yeo Mi-hyun, the regional director said, “The project for peaceful unification of the Korean Peninsula which is one of the main initiatives of IWPG, and the Buddhist Central Council for National Unification’s project to build a foundation for peaceful unification on the Korean Peninsula are significant and must be done by someone, so we are cooperating with interest.“
She expressed her acceptance speech, saying “We will continue to work hard to unify the Korean Peninsula and achieve peace around the world.”
Meanwhile, as a global female NGO registered with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and the Global Communication Agency (DGC), IWPG is actively carrying out women’s peace education, supporting and urging “DPCW” and spreading peace culture with the vision of inheriting the world of peace to future generations.
