Seoul, South Korea, March 18 2022| Hyun Sook Yoon, Chairwoman of the International Women’s Peace Group attended the ceremony to commemorate the 6th Annual Commemoration of the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War.
During the event she said, “After the bloodshed in Myanmar, we are facing the tragedy of Ukraine again. The answer to peace is the 10 articles and 38 clauses of the DPCW,” suggesting a solution to prevent war.
On the 14th at 8:00 pm (local time) in Korea during the HWPL 6th Annual Commemoration of the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW) held online, Chairman Man Hee Lee said, “DPCW is the answer from heaven for cessation of war and to achieve peace. “Our members and children are dying in Kyiv, Ukraine, where an IWPG branch is located. The greatest sacrifice in war are women and youth and, with the current international law, war cannot stop war even if innocent people are killed.”
Chairwoman Yoon continued saying, “I ask the heads of states of all countries around the world. We earnestly ask the United Nations to show swift action so that the ‘DPCW’ can be established as an international law so that sustainable peace can be realized.”

At this commemoration ceremony, HWPL announced that it plans to promote the institutionalization of peace as a basis for rooting and developing peace under the theme of ‘Institutionalizing Peace: Building a Legal Foundation for Sustainable Peace’.
