The incident happened at midnight in Odolo village, Katabok parish, Morulem sub-county.
The deceased, identified as Wilberforce Okecho, was part of the team from Kotido tracking the stolen animals from Abim.
The deceased and the team had had a stop-over in Odolo to spend a night before they could proceed to Nyakwae the next day.
