HIV & SRH Media Awards 2021: Winners

According to ACME, Radio Pacis got the award “for exceptional and consistent high quality reporting and programming on HIV/AIDS, SGBV and SRH.”


Kampala—2, December 2021: The HIV $ SRH Media Awards 2021 took place on Thursday in Kampala and a number of journalists were recognized.

The awards were launched by UN-JUPSA in December 2020 to honor distinguished reporting on Uganda’s aspirations to achieve universal access to HIV prevention, treatment, care and support, halting and reversing the spread of HIV, and contributing to the achievement of related Millennium Development Goal (SGDs).

African Centre for Media Excellence (ACME) took the lead and a media organization to spearhead the event.

“This is a description of the 14 competition categories in the 2021 journalism awards on HIV and AIDS, gender-based violence, and sexual and reproductive health,” ACME said, via its website, months ago.

It [ACME] highlighted Best News Story, Best Feature Story, Best Investigative Story, Best Newspaper, TV and Online Platform, and HIV Fast-Track Ambassador Award as categories to compete for.
