Ralf Rangnick appointed new Manchester United interim manager

“Manchester United is delighted to announce the appointment of Ralf Rangnick as interim manager until the end of the season, subject to work visa requirements.”

Lira—29, November 2021: On Monday, 29, Manchester United officially confirmed it had appointed Ralf Rangnick as interim manager until the end of 2021/2022 football season in Europe.

Rangnick, 63, managed RB Leipzig. He will spend the remaining six months of the Premier League season at United, before transitioning into a two-year consultancy role.

Mirror UK reports that the latter role is arguably just as noteworthy as his imminent presence in the Old Trafford hot-seat, given the club have been lacking direction from the top of the hierarchy throughout the post- Sir Alex Ferguson era.

Rangnick also has success as a director of football under his belt after taking on the role for both Red Bull Salzburg and RB Leipzig from 2012 onwards.

The new United boss will host surging Arsenal on Thursday in the Premier League, and both sides will play for the win.

Arsenal currently sits 5th in the table, on same points (23) with Westham United who lost 3:1 to Manchester City on Sunday.

Ralf is picking the Red Devils from the 8th position in the league and from Michael Carrick who temporarily took over after the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
