Lira—30, June 2021: Global Forum for Development (GLOFORD) is a not-for-profit NGO working in Northern Uganda. Over the years, it has supported communities in the sectors of health, agriculture, education and capacity building.
And now as Covid-19 pandemic continues to ravage Uganda and Lango sub region, the Forum says it has received 5,000 face shields with support from Field Ready in USA and NeedsList in Canada.
“Our priority target groups are frontline health workers and mothers in the main market,” Morris Chris Ongom, GLOFORD CEO says.
“So far we have handed over 350 to Erute South Health sub district through Amach health HCIV. All health facilities in Erute South will receive from Amach HCIV,” he added.

“300 to Amai Hospital in Amolatar; planning to handover 1,000 to Oyam district Health team today (Wednesday).”
Mr Ongom who is also the President Lira City Development Forum told TND News Tuesday that “we can’t fold our hands and do nothing at such a time like this.”
