Kampala – 25, February 2021: The inspectorate of government has given the former presidential candidate, also the outgoing Kyandondo East MP, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine a period within which he should declare status of his newly acquired armored vehicle.
The government agency in charge, the Inspectorate of Government (IG) wants Bobi Wine to declare whether the vehicle was a donation or his asset. The National Unity Platform (NUP) top leader has been given until March 31, 2021 to make the declaration.
Ms Annet Twine who’s the director of the leadership Code at the Inspectorate of Government (IG) told journalists in Kampala that Bobi Wine, like any other elected leader and a political party head, under the law, Section 10 of the Leadership Code Act should declare his wealth.
According to her, Bobi has time to declare it (his vehicle), adding the IG will wait until he submits his declaration and how he got it.

His car was shot at many times, and his driver killed in 2018 during the Arua Municipality MP by-election.
According to unverified reports, some Ugandans in the Diaspora started fundraising campaigns to buy him a ‘better car’. Many now say, the armored car was a donation from his supporters outside Uganda.
