She says it will propel better livelihoods for the youth.

According to Ms Apio, the five key pillars which she will immensely work on include, effective representation of the youth’s interest in council, improving the quality of education and skills development, eradicating the systemic graft that has eaten up the service delivery in the district, promotion of girl child education and youth economic empowerment.

On government projects like Youth Livelihood Program and Youth Capital Venture Fund meant to empower the youth, she noted that few youths benefitted from the projects as “selection was marred by irregularities and corruption” hence going into wrong hands.
