Lira top nursing and midwifery school announces 2021 academic intake

Lira—30, November 2020: 2021 could see a resumption of complete academic programs across the country following nearly eight months of its pause due to novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

After first Covid-19 case was announced in Uganda in March this year, government closed all academic institutions, houses of worship, accommodation facilities, to mention but a few.

Two months ago, government, in its partial lifting of lockdown, directed the reopening of academic institutions for candidates and finalists classes only.

With nearly 80 percent of learners (students and pupils) staying at home due to a surge in Covid-19, expectations are much high that with good news on the vaccine, 2021 could be a “normal year” to all sectors of the economy across the globe.

In their anticipation and preparation, Lira City East based school—Good Samaritan International School of Nursing and Midwifery has announced January 2021 intake.

The top school says they offering intakes in Certificate in Nursing, Certificate in Midwifery and a Certificate in Comprehensive Nursing.

To be admitted to any of the above courses, one must possess or have ““O” level Certificate recommendation with credits or good passes in all the science subjects; admission fee of shs30, 000 (non-refundable).
