Correction: ‘Oyam confirms 1st corona case’ not true

Oyam district task-force on COVID-19 has intercepted a truck driver who tested positive for coronavirus disease.

Resident District Commissioner [RDC] Gillian Akullu who’s also the head of the district task force on COVID-19 told TND News, Tuesday afternoon.

The positive person, according to the district official, did not interact with anyone from the community.

The truck driver was intercepted in Iceme. His lorry was being loaded with bags of soya beans, TND New has freshly learnt.

The Ministry of Health has since tested over 87,832 samples and has 260 confirmed positive cases, as of Monday 18 May 2020.

63 people have recovered and no death
