Lakwana primary school headmistress will pay for her “rudeness”, this contemporary online newspaper has learnt.

Located in Lakwana sub-county, Omoro district, on 17 March this year, angry parents led by chairperson school management committee, Benson Lakwo stormed the school, ordering head teacher out of her office.

According to the report from the chairperson SMC  of the school, Lakwo, he accused the head teacher of mismanagement, and that she’s always not friendly to SMC members and other teachers.

“And the worse of all she is very corrupt because she failed to give accountability of money that parents paid for PTA for this term,” Lakwo added.

He says since she has been transferred to Lakwana primary school, she has never called for parent’s meeting, citing annual general meeting.

But the reality of such claims are yet to be known because some teachers and the parents are condemning the act taken by chairperson SMC to lock the head teacher’s office.

Those in disagreement with Lakwo say his action is affecting learning at the school.

“She is not doing any thing wrong and she is always friendly to us,” some teachers defended under pressure head teacher – Rose Mary Aciro.

Asked to comment and respond to maladministration and rudeness claims, Aciro could not give any comment.

Briefly, she said: “I don’t know what is wrong with these SMC members and their chairperson.”

Both the Omoro CAO and DEO are yet to intervene over the matter.

Lakwana primary school is the oldest school in Omoro district.

The Church of Uganda founded school started in 1970 with current
enrollment of 700 pupils.
