Northern Uganda popular musician Eddy Wizzy is in trouble.
His real names Olak Edward, Wizzy and his accomplice, Kinyara Patrick are currently under police custody in Gulu for allegedly beating Lacan Walter and later stealing his vehicle.
Lacan Walter told police that Eddy Wizzy and his friend beat him thoroughly and took a motor vehicle Registration No UAP 833R Noah.
He told cops that he had used the said vehicle to transport the same musician and his team for music shows in Lakwena and Karuma, Kiryandongo district respectively.
Lacan says this transportation was done on 1st, Feb 2019.
He also told Police that, that day, Mr. Wizzy placed him under the car boot while coming back, drove him up to Pece Tegwana, claiming that he later escaped from the torture.
However, Jimmy Patrick Okema, the Aswa regional police spokesperson confirmed the arrest of Eddy Wizzy and Kinyera Patrick, adding that others are still at large as investigations into the matter is on going.
There has been attempts by singer’s pals to have him released.
A short while ago, TND News’ Denis Otti in Gulu town reports that Wizzy and Kinyera got released on police bond.
They have been charged with simple robbery and theft whose case was registered at Gulu Central Police Station under SD: Ref 03/02/02/2019.
