Playing a parental role need a lot of care while handling children. While beating to discipline a child may be a fine idea, using maximum force with emotion in executing the punishment quickly drags you into trouble.
In Pader district, Police are holding a 30 year old Denis Omony on allegation of beating his 7 year old son Richard Odokonyero to death for refusing to put on a school uniform.
Omony, a resident of Omaki-gira village, Ogom parish, Ogom Sub County in Pader district reportedly beat his son who died instantly.
According to sources, Omony was ever not happy that his son constantly defied his ‘directive’ by going to school in non school uniform. Omony’s dead son was a primary three pupil of Ogom Primary school.
The sad, unusual incident took place on Wednesday at around 3pm according to neighbors.
Aswa Region police spokesperson Patrick Jimmy Okema says postmortem was expected Thursday before burial.
Okema said: “Omony was arrested yesterday (Wednesday) and is being held at Pader Central Police Station. He will be charged with murder.”
